Project Coordinator is responsible for implementing the National Citizen Service (NCS) project. The Project focuses on improving households’ income and awareness building on sexual reproductive health rights of adolescent and youth through ensuring governance of local supports structures. The Project Coordinator will be the mentor of volunteers and provide technical support to the stakeholders, execute project plan, conduct, and coordinate training activities. The project coordinator will support the NCS team to implement core approaches of VSO and SDG objectives. The project coordinator will also guide the NCS team on action research with support from the project manager.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Project implementation – Excellent project implementation skills; basic knowledge on developing log frames.
Communication - Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Relationship Building - Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and project stakeholders. Excellent influencing negotiation and persuading skills.
People Management - Experience in managing team /Volunteers and partner staffs.
Planning and organizing skills- Excellent planning and organizing skills; keen to work in a stress situation.
- Excellent time management skill and maintains to do list.
Financial - Experience of managing project budget and ensuring burn rate.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills – Identify field problems and share with the project team to solve the problems. Provide appropriate decisions to the project team as per requirements.
Flexibility – Always positive and flexibility in project operation.
Practical experience of working with Volunteers and corporate sectors.
Commitment to VSO’s work and values.
MSS in any discipline of Social Science, Public health from recognized institutions.
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in implementing programmes of enterprise development/livelihoods, AYSRHR and Governance in national/in international NGOs.
• Working experience with the community people for non-agro based projects/programmes, Government officials from livestock, agriculture and health department etc.
• Relevant experience in managing national tiers.
The duration of this job will be starting from the joining date to until March 2020 with the possibility of extension.
