Role overview
You'll work as a mid-wife tutor. You'll prepare and deliver lectures to Nurses and/or Midwife students. You'll support the school in successfully upgrading to registered nurse training and start Midwife training. You'll be In-charge of building up a supervision routine between the school and all decentralised practical training sites, clinical instructors and the management of the hospitals. You'll assess clinical education needs and develop together with the school a strategy to utilize the available skills labs more frequently. As member of the various management committees, you'll assist the school in its institutional development by contributing to strengthen good governance policies (student management, financial management, etc.).You'll contribute to the development and implementation of operational research by analysing data and information to communicate the findings and results from this decentralised nurse training approach to partners and stakeholders.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
You are a qualified Nurse Tutor and/or Midwifery Tutor at bachelor level, both qualifications would be preferable. You have interest in theoretical and practical teaching and interacting with students and colleague tutors. You have strong management, organizational, and capacity building skills and experience. You are able to adapt to the management structure of the school and work as subordinate under the principal tutor. You have strong communication skills and competence in establishing interpersonal relationships with the clinical instructors responsible for the practical training and the Hospital Management Teams at the decentralised practical training sites. You have experience of working in governmental training institution; You have inter-cultural sensitivity and networking skills. You have experience of working in rural Africa; you have hands-on experience and pro-active personality, able to develop initiatives; You are fluent in English and have good writing skills.
